Baraniak I. Demographic reproduction in the conditions of formation and development of territorial migration systems

This thesis is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological bases for the research of demographic reproduction in the conditions of the formation of specific territorial migration systems, assessment of its condition and development of applied recommendations for the systematic monitoring of demographic changes that are caused by migration processes. The conceptual and terminological apparatus of research of the demographic reproduction processes in the context of territorial migration system formation has been formed. The main theories and concepts, the focus of which is the theoretical and methodological substantiation of the influence of migration on the change of the demographic reproduction of the population, have been systematised. The significance of the formation of new territorial migration systems in the processes of demographic reproduction of the human resources of the donor and recipient countries, has been revealed. The content of the concept of ‘demographic reproduction’ is clarified and the approaches to defining the essence of the category ‘territorial migration system’ have been generalised. The logical-structural scheme of demographic reproduction formation of territorial migration system has been constructed. The author presents original approaches to the classification of territorial migration systems types, such as the scale of territorial organization of relations, geopolitical role in the social labor division, the vector of organization of migration flows within the ‘migration pair’, the rate of change, the architectonics of the system, forms of of organisation legal relations, method of formation, attitude to the sphere of organization of society, the subject of migration. Comparative analysis of the state and trends of demographic reproduction of the population in Ukraine and Germany with the identification of the main common and distinctive features has been conducted. The socio-demographic profile of migrants of the Ukraine-German territorial migration system has been formed. The preconditions for the establishment and socio-economic effects of the development of the Ukraine-German territorial migration system have been determined. A method for monitoring the processes of demographic reproduction in the conditions of territorial migration systems development has been developed and tested. The volume of potential migration of the population from Ukraine to Germany, according to the scenario approach until 2030, has been forecasted. The main goals of the state demographic and migration policy concerning optimisation of demographic reproduction in Ukraine have been defined.
