Essay

Object – the education system of the region; the aim is to systematize theoretical ideas and generalize the experience of interaction between general secondary education institutions and local governments to improve the quality of education in the region; methods – general scientific, comparative, axiological, prognostic, terminological analysis of the literature; novelty – for the first time the problem of organization of interaction of general secondary education institution and local self-government bodies is comprehensively investigated, revealed the role of general secondary education institution as an intellectual and cultural center of the community, characterized the essence of interaction of general secondary education institution and local self-government bodies and requirements for its organization, summarized the experience of organizing such interaction in the main areas: educational and upbringing activities, scientific and methodical training of teachers, social security of participants in the educational process, logistics of general secondary education, publishing activities implemented in certain forms at the national and regional levels, outlined prognostic trends interaction of general secondary education institutions and local self-government bodies to meet the educational needs of participants in the educational process; developed the basic concepts of the researched problem are specified; ideas on the development of local self-government and the interaction of educational institutions and authorities in domestic and foreign pedagogical thought were further; results – dissertation materials provide new grounds for understanding and analysis of the processes of education management at the regional level. The data and conclusions obtained in the course of the research were reflected in the textbooks «Civic education in the system of work of the class teacher» (co-authored), «The art of living in a community» (co-authored), as well as implemented in the Comprehensive Education Development Program for 2018-2021, a number of projects («School – a safe area», «Comfortable school – healthy children», «Information space of the future», «Laboratory of interactive learning START»), the Program of research and experimental work on «Development of civic competencies in Ukraine in the conditions of secondary school» during 2016-2021.
