Essay

The object of research - the process of restoring the cast iron parts of freight cars. The study was conducted on the basis of the theory of wear of cast iron parts, used methods of metallographic, X-ray diffraction analysis and electron microscopy. The scientific problem of improving the efficiency of the fleet by developing the technology of restoration of cast iron friction wedges of freight cars by developing a way to increase their wear resistance during the repair of rolling stock, taking into account the formation of a transition layer with a similar structure. The developed complex restoration technology can be used in the process of repair at car repair enterprises of Ukraine.
