Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the use of biogas as an additive to compressed natural gas (CNG) to power vehicle engines. A method for determining the composition of the simulated gas is proposed, which allows to study the influence of the amount of biogas additive to CNG. It is proved that in cars with a spark-ignition engine, when powered by CNG, fuel consumption is reduced by 13.1%, and when fed with mixed fuel by 9.8% compared to the use of gasoline A-92, and the use of mixed fuel leads to reduction of total mass emissions of harmful substances of the car with the engine with spark ignition in comparison with use of gasoline A-92 and CNG.
