The aim of the study is to improve the environmental and economic performance of vehicles by improving and tuning a diesel gas microprocessor power system by regulating the injection phase (natural gas injection timing) of gas fuel. To improve the fuel, economic and environmental performance of vehicles in operation, a diesel gas microprocessor power system has been developed. The developed system ensures the operation of diesel engines using a mixture of diesel fuel and compressed natural gas in the diesel gas cycle while maintaining the standard fuel system. This system provides the ability to phase control the supply of compressed natural gas to the diesel engine. Bench and road tests of a truck with a diesel engine with a developed diesel gas power system were carried out. As a result of experimental and computational studies, as well as an economic calculation, the expediency of re-equipping vehicle diesel engines to be powered by compressed natural gas under operating conditions was confirmed, and the expedient values of the gas injection phase were established.
