Dissertation for the degree of a candidate of technical sciences (doctor of philosophy) in specialty 05.22.20 – operation and repair of transport vessels / State University of Infrastructure and Technologies, Kyiv, 2021. The dissertation research is aimed at solving the scientific and applied problem - improving the environmental indicators of river transport. Technologies have been developed to provide analysis of evaporation of emulsified and homogeneous fuels on piston head. A membrane dispersant for making emulsions of fuel and water has been formed and tested. Researches carried out on the energy and environmental characteristics of a diesel engine on a river pusher when operating on anhydrous fuel and a water-fuel emulsion. The introduction of the results of the dissertation research on sea and river vessels indicates about significant improvements in the environmental friendliness of river transport, namely a decrease in the concentration of nitrogen oxides by 29%, carbon monoxide by 35%; exhaust gas temperatures by 2.2%; smokiness by 38%.
