Os'mak O. Expressionism in the context of 20th century Western-European culture.

This thesis is dedicated to the research of the phenomenon "expressionism" in the context of 20th century Western-European culture. Aesthetic and art-historical grounds of Western-European expressionism and its place in the dialogue of western and eastern culture are discussed in comparative analysis context. History of foundation and development of expressionism is reconstructed and aesthetic and art-historical roots and spicifics its manifestation in different types of art are grounded. Expressionism is examined as a direction of contemporary art which has roots in wourld's philosophical thought and is conditioned by the dynamics of art thinking development. Types of expressionist creative process corresponding to specifics of art are cleared out.
