Essay

It is established that pharmacotherapy by indomethacin decreases the retinol and tocopherol level in blood plasma and damages the gastro-intestinal tract. Antioxidants aevit and selena reduce deficiency of vitamins, decrease ulcerogenal effect and increase the antiinflammatory activity of indomethacin. Omeprazol slows down the elimination of the unchanged form of indomethacin from blood plasma, increases the efficiency of antiinflammatory therapy and decreases the frequency of side effects on the gastro-intestinal tract. The introduction of principles of rational antiinflammatory therapy by indomethacin in clinical practice is carried out.
