Essay

The dissertation deals with the problems of developing a scientific basis for the methods and diagnostic means for the correct service control of car tire enabling a rise in efficiency and safety of automobile transport service. The dissertation develops a new trend in estimating the residual resource of a tire with a fatigue defect. The estimation is conducted according to the surface temperature value resulting from the dependencies obtained between the temperature and inter-layer deformations in the tire. The possibility of employing the infra-red method of tire serviceability diagnostics at production control was proved. Diagnostic equipment designs were presented and car tire designs were analyzed for their future updating.
