It has been shown that the development of combined hemic and tissue hypoxia under the influence of cadmium ions leads to the disorders of histostructure and ultrastructure of the inner organs. Morphologic changes of the liver tissues manifested themselves by ruining of membrane structures, proteinsynthesizing, energy and hereditary apparatuses of the hepatocytes, by the disorders of filtration and reabsorption parts of the kidneys. Conceptual model of the primary biochemical mechanisms of the damaging effect of cadmium ions been created. The use of pharmacological preparations of antioxidant action (Unitiol, Selenium) has been substantiated for the correction of metabolism disturbances resulted from cadmium intoxication.
