Essay

In the dissertation conceptually - methodological principles are presented on the research of social determinants of Ukraine's national safety as well as new strategies in state policy are introduced for preventing demographic and social threats. Basic social determinants of national safety have been defined as: property, the level of social differentiation of society, competition and conflict in the form of struggle between individuals for such position in the society, which would satisfy their necessities. It is shown that social determinants of national safety are simultaneously found in two functional states: as object and subject influence. New methodological approaches were introduced for the state of protection of Ukraine's national interests from the point of their determination by social factors. Scientific principles have been developed in estimating the risks of social stability of Ukrainian society. They are based on the values of social indicators and account for the human factors of itsdevelopment. It has been discovered that the most ponderable factor in transformation of quantity of Ukraine's population nowadays is death rate, the role of birth rate and migratory motion, which will increase in the nearest prospect. On the basis of the built model of the main social indicators of safe community development, methodical approaches are offered for determining their values. It has been proven, that social factors which are of great threat to national safety are the following: misbalance in the national labour market, growth of unemployment, a surplus stratification of the population according to the level of profits, demographic crisis, corruption, criminalization of the society as a result of imperfection of public distributing mechanisms. New strategies have been introduced, which are to improve Ukraine's national policy by providing national safety. They are based on the management of Ukraine's social determinants.
