Drozhzhina S. Multiculturalism: conceptual model and praxeological recognition of its structure in Ukrainian society

Conceptual model of multyculturalism was developed in the research and praxeological versions of its construction in non-immigrant polycultural Ukrainian society were defined, the conceptualization as a way of intellectual comprehension and understanding of polycultural society was substantiated, methodological measuring for comprehension and understanding of polycultural society (elements of structure, specificity of theorization) were defined, multicultural paradigm as a gnosiological-and-methodoligical model was described, terms and concepts through the prism of Ukrainian fragmented society were elucidated, elements of conceptual scheme of multiculturalism as a theory, ideology, policy and practice of polycultural society considering modern scientists' views on this society as a non-immigrant one were worked out, characteristics of polycultural society as a value-and-sense reality of social being were introduced. Polycultural state of a modern Ukrainian society was presented in the dissertation in the light of multicultural paradigm, and polycultural relations were presented in legislative and axiological aspects, an impact of process of decentralization of power on the level of democracy in the country through the prism of social philosophy was demonstrated. In the dissertation research the ways for odemocratic culture policy reforming through multiculturalism as an ideology, policy, practice of polycultural society were developed, reforming ways for institute of citizenship were suggested, grounds for specificity of religious relations in polyconfession society and suggestions for settling interconfession problems within the scope of multicultural paradigm were produced. Certain attention to support of package of approaches to building up modern national idea through the prism of multiculturalism was paid, concepts of social and educational activity in HEI of a country that accepts multiculturalism as an ideology, policy, practice, as well as to axiological principles of intercultural communication modeling in a polycultural environment were developed.
