Essay

Philosophical, sociological, psychological, and pedagogical literature on the social maturity is analyzed in the dissertation; the essence and structure of the phenomenon "social maturity" are specified.The peculiarities of education of senior pupils in social maturity at boarding schools are determined; the potential of the off-hour activities at these establishments is considered. Criteria, indices, and levels of social maturity education are defined. A social maturity education model is developed for senior pupils at boarding schools in off-hour activities. The efficiency of the developed pedagogical conditions for educating social maturity is substantiated and experimentally checked.The methodological provision for educating social maturity of senior pupils at boarding schools in off-hour activities is developed and introduced.
