Essay

The definitions of key concepts were provided and their content is clarified on the basis of theoretical analysis of psycho-pedagogical and philosophical researches on the issue of forming of foundations of five to eight year old children’s world perception. Psychological and pedagogical features of formation of foundations of five to eight year old children’s world perception are characterized. Based on the study of psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature, it is concluded that the didactic factors in the formation of the foundations of five to eight year old children’s world perception are the following ones : the intensification of children’s cognitive activity, the use of game activitity, the provision of integrated content of the educational process and the organization of innovative modern forms of research activities as a productive method of children’s perception of the world. According to the theoretically substantiated structure of the concept of «world perception» there are three main components that holistically reveal the studied qualities of children aged 5-8 , namely: motivational, cognitive and activity. In accordance with the objectives of the study and in order to conduct a pedagogical experiment, the following criteria are defined: motivational-valued, cognitive, activity-behavioural; their corresponding indicators and levels of formation of foundations of five to eight year old children’s world perception are also determined: high (research), sufficient (partial research), medium (elementary), initial (adaptive).
