Essay

In the thesis the essence and structure of the concept "professional competence of a pre-school teacher" and the contents of the teacher's professional competencies are defined; the requirements for a pre-primary teacher's professional competence through the prism of a modern child's needs are substantiated, as well as the pedagogical conception of the professional competence formation in university education; the criteria, indices and levels of professional competence of the pre-school teachers (bachelor's degree) are developed; a model of forming the professional competence of students (speciality "Pre-school Education, bachelor's degree) is elaborated and grounded; the efficiency of the introduced system of forming pre-school teachers' professional competence on the basis of the model is experimentally checked.
