Essay

The thesis analyses the development of the school Local history Study in Ukraine in the second part of XX - the beginning of XXI century as holistic, structured and dynamic system. It characterizes the theoretical and methodical basis of the "system of school Local history Study" and defines the objective interconnections between them. The author classifies the historiography of the problem according to the groups of scientific-methodical literature. The periodization of the development of school Local history Study is justified, taking into consideration social and political, economical, ideological, scientific and pedagogic determinants. It reveals the changes in the objectives and contents of the school Local history Study in the analyzed chronological limits; it explores the forms and methods of functioning of Local history Study in the school training; it investigates the organization of out-of-school local history activity; it clarifies the influence of the Local history Study on the realization of objectives in the general education. The thesis specifies the possibilities of use of research results in the local history education.
