Essay

Dissertation presents general theoretic conclusions and experimental solution of important scientific and practical problem, which consists of defining the role of androgen hormones in morphine dependence formation and development of perspective methods of pathogenetically substantiated therapy of opioid addiction. Research results proved potentiation of proaddictive effects of morphine by androgens, speeding up development of stages of psychic and physical dependence, increasing manifestations of acute withdrawal syndrome in morphine dependent animals - Vistar rats and mice of Balb/с genetic line. Based on obtained data a new concept of androgen modulation of proaddictive behavior disorders was suggested and key factors of male sex hormones impact on the functional state of opioidergic system were defined. Main principles of innovative method of treatment and preventing drug addiction relapses were developed. Fixed combination of flutamide and risperidone was suggested as a perspective means of preventive therapy for opioid dependence. Preclinical researches of specific pharmacological activity, acute and subchronic toxicity of Fluridone combination, capsules production of "Technologist", pharmaceutical company "Lekhim", Ukraine, were held.
