Essay

The thesis is the first comprehensive study of new Ukrainian children's book as a literary and publishing phenomenon integrated into the real socio-cultural space. The main trends and patterns of the development of Ukrainian scientific discourse around a children's book (end of the XIX - beginning of the XXI century) have been researched and determined. The peculiarities of a children's book as a form of social communication of invariant addressee-recipient character have been analyzed, the impact of age communicative imbalance on the communication character has been shown. The theoretical and methodological basis for systematic evaluation of a children's book culture have been developed in terms of improving its communicative efficiency. Scientifically-based typology of children's editions has been considered as an important prerequisite for optimization of the process of their effective formation, editing and publishing training and promotion in society.
