Rzhevska A. Development of Contemporary University Education in West European countries

Object: West European University Education; aim: to determine essence, trends, and peculiarities of functioning of the contemporary West European University Education by analysing its foundation and development; to describe the possibility of implementing the best practice of the European reforms in higher education in Ukraine; methods: retrospection, analysis of cause and effect, generalization, comparison, general studying of many resources of information at once, observation, questionnaire, interview, internet-survey, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: specificity and general contradictions in development of the contemporary West European University Education in Andorra, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal are revealed, preconditions, trends, driving forces, similarity and dissimilarity of the development are given; results: peculiarities of integration in university government, management and administration are presented as well as of integration in university quality assurance and university international activities; content and structure of quality assurance of European higher education institution are developed on, European and Ukrainian terms in quality assurance are compared; branch– general pedagogy and history of pedagogy.
