Essay

Object of research: the formations of systemic and local immunity of organism of cows' during mastitis. The aim of study: to find out the spread and aetiology of cows' mastitis of Ukrainian milk black-speckled breed, peculiarities of its pathogenesis in the background of immune status changes, the apoptosis status of immune competent cells and their peripheral blood and mammary gland secretion, to give proofs of therapeutic and economical treatment efficiency during subclinical mastitis. Research methods: clinical, immunological, cytological, cytochemical, biochemical, microbiological, biometrical. Theoretical and practical results: new data was found out, that widens deepens the information about cell factors of local immune of cows' mammary glands; new methodology of cytological diagnosis of subclinical cows' mastitis was patented; special way of defining antimicrobial potential of mammary glands' secretion on phagocytes; the scheme of treatment of sick with subclinical mastitis cows was developed and certified using Izatizon; the scheme of cytological evaluation of apoptosis condition of immune competent cells of peripheral blood and of cows' mammary glands secretion, execution and interpretation of received results. Scientific novelty: new data about the mastitis spreading in Podilya region farms was received; the peculiarities of local immune protection of cows' mammary glands were stated during different lactation periods and during mastitis development; cytochemical definitions of mammary glands' phagocytes were defined during different lactation periods and also in the pathogenesis of subclinical and purulent-catarrhal cows mastitis; threshold shifts of phagocyte protection factors were set up for the first time as a precondition (risk) of transferring subclinical mastitis into clinical form of inflammation; cytomorphological factors were stated and interpreted of immune competent apoptosis cells of peripherical blood of clinically healthy cows and during mastitis development; cytomorphological factors of immune competent mammary glands' secretion cells during different periods of its work and in the context of a pathogenesis study of subclinical and purulent-catarrhal mastitis; recommendations were offered about the cytological diagnosis and visualization of immune competent cells; positive influence was stated of Izatizon on systemic and local immunity of cows' mammary glands. The implementation level: Podilya region farms, Ukrainian universities, dedicated immunological labs of research institute. Area of use: veterinary, veterinary obstetrics, clinical and fundamental immunology.
