The thesis is devoted to the systematic pharmacognostic research of families Oleaceae, Aceraceae, Ulmaceae, Caprifoliaceae plants as sources of herbal raw materials and derived substances, study of qualitative and quantitative content of the main groups of biologically active compounds in raw materials and substances, standardization and detection of pharmacological activities. The structure of 34 natural compounds has been isolated and determined. The algorithm of search and development of new antimicrobial action of herbal medicines has been proposed. Tincture «Fraxicid», 6 types of raw materials and 4 substance derived of them have been standardized. The quality control procedures plans of «Ash bark», «Maple leaf», «Maple bark», «Elm leaf», «Honeysuckle leaf», «Snowberry leaf» have been drafted. Technological requirements to tincture «Fraxicid», European Ash bark thick extract, Maple leaf thick extract and Elm leaf thick extract have been tested in conditions of manufacturing. Such pharmacological activity of the research substances and tincture «Fraxicid», as antimicrobial, cytotoxic, spermicidal, immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory has been determined. Novelty of the developments is proved by patents of Ukraine.
