Essay

The dissertation gives the complex analysis of the prezequisites, resons, development and results of the reformation of school education in the period of 1964-1984 years. It enlightens the activities of the State Committee, some standing by themselves subcommittees and the scholars who were their members. Psychological-pedagogic grounds for selection and structure of the general secondary school education contents are defined. The periods of the reformation of school education in Ukraine in the period of 1964-1984 years are also worked out. It is established the essence, characteristic tendencies of each period, their succession and inter-dependency among them. The stages of the reformation and the results of the changes in the contents of school education are characterized and revealed alongside with the factors that made the reformation succesful and efficient. Thoroughly thought preparatory work, linear-concentric and linear-gradation building of the contents of school subjects, wide experimental control of the developed curricula, their successive promotion, partial defferentiation and individualization of the renewed contents.The developing character of the contents of primary education in the period that is invastigated is systematically shown ib the comperative-comparison aspect. It is also exposed the contribution of Ukranian pedagogues in the development and promotion of the new contents of school subjects.
