The thesis proposed a new conceptual approach to the formation of national and cultural identity of students of higher educational institutions. Grounded general theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of national and cultural identity of the individual. Author determined types, shapes, features national and cultural identity of students. The structure of national and cultural identity of students, which includes cognitive, emotional, and konatyvnyy axiological components. The criteria, indicators and levels of national and cultural identity of students of higher educational institutions.Theoretically proved and tested structural and functional model of national cultural identity of students of higher educational institutions. Determined and pedagogical conditions of formation of national cultural identity in students of higher educational institutions. Developed software support of the formation of national and cultural identity of students of higher educational institutions.
