Object: management of higher education institution in present conditions of higher education functioning and development in Ukraine; objective: substantiate theoretical and methodological foundations, experimentally verify the effectiveness of management system of higher education institution interaction with the environment; methods: scientific literature analysis, modelling, benchmarking, SWOT-analysis, questioning, peer assessment, rating assessment, pedagogical experiment, mathematical statistics; novelty: theoretical and methodological foundations of management of higher education institution interaction with the environment have been substantiated for the first time; results: introduction of the developed interaction management system into the practice of university management; research area - theory and methods of educational administration.
