Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of personal and professional self-improvement of a high school teacher. The thesis is based on the concept that defines the content and the main directions of personal and professional self-development of high school teachers on the basis of self-knowledge. The dissertation scientifically explains the theoretical and methodological basis and the concept of the system of self-knowledge and personal professional self-improvement of a high school educator, which are practically confirmed and put into practice in higher education and post-graduate education. Based on the analysis of the leading scientific ideas and conceptual approaches, works of domestic and foreign scientists from different fields of knowledge the problem of personal and professional self-development of a subject of pedagogical activities, namely a high school teacher, is investigated here; the intrinsic characteristics of the concept "personal and professional self-improvement", ideal image of a high school teacher are given. The Author determines the theoretical framework and proposes meaningful scientific categories that describe the nature and structure of self-knowledge and personal and professional self-improvement in modern teaching practice. A three-level model of professional self-improvement of a high school teacher on the basis of the level of integrative characteristics of professional self-improvement and teaching competence, communicative teaching culture typology of consciousness in relation to the type of the temperament according to the accepted criteria (cognitive, emotional value and criteria of activity) has been worked out. Training and methodological support is developed here, as well as the author's course "Culture of Relationships" and self-diagnostic techniques that enable to achieve the specified goals and objectives in the current high school.
