The factors of influence on the selection of studied languages are discovered; existing models of plurilingual education typical for Europe are shown. The main pedagogical theories of mastering several languages are determined, the principles of plurilingual education and features of the new didactic approach characteristic for the modern period of the plurilingual education development are clarified. The transformations in the structure and content of plurilingual education are researched as well as the main technologies of schoolchildren plurilingual education development in Western European countries.
