Essay

In the thesis, the socio-cultural, philosophic-politological, psychological-pedagogical determinants of democracy culture are highlighted; the essence of the notion "democracy culture of a senior pupil" is specified; its cognitive, emotional-value, and activity-practical components are described. The potential of modern pedagogical practice in educating comprehensive school senior students' democracy culture is revealed. Conception and technology of education of democracy culture in senior pupils have been developed (theoretic-methodological, content-functional, process-organizational, conclusion-analytical elements). Organizational-pedagogical conditions of increasing the efficiency of educating democracy culture in student youth have been defined and introduced, their productivity being experimentally tested. Criteria, indices, and levels of senior pupils' democracy culture are substantiated. Prognostic vectors of activity of comprehensive school are elaborated in terms of education of senior pupils' democracy culture.
