Object - regularities changes of indicators of physical development (somatometric parameters of body, performance components somatic-type component composition body mass index harmonious physical development of youth: cadets, pupils, students) while studying in higher educational institutions of different types and levels of accreditation; purpose - determining formation regularities of somatometric dimensions, metrics somatotype components, composition of body mass, index harmonious physical development of youth while studying in higher educational institutions of different types and levels of accreditation; methods - somatometric and somatotypological method of indexes, mathematical; the results - found that rates of total, longitudinal and transverse dimensions of the body for youth training increased, indicating continued growth and formation of somatotype in adolescence. Most covering parameters also increased, which largely reflects the body's response to physical activity, and increase covering parameters limbs of cadets and students indicates a better development of these parts of the body during training. Reducing of covering parameters limbs in student demonstrates insufficient of physical intensity and the high teaching load at the University. Indicators thickness of skin and fat folds in cadets shrunk and in groups of pupils and students in opposite - increased, indicating that increasing the number of fat on the background of a decrease or no change in muscle. Indicator mesomorphic somatotype component increased during training of cadets and groups of pupils, while in students its declined, indicating a better development of skeletal muscle and "athleticism" in cadets during training and approach to "gracilization" or overweight in students. The results of the factor analysis in each group established interdependence and interrelation of indicators that determine the characteristics of the physical development of boys, confirmed changes of physical development of cadets, pupils, students under the influence of the components of the educational process of universities of different types and levels of accreditation; branch - medicine.
