Essay

The object of the study - an interruption of reproductive function of cows with purulent-necrotic limb lesions. The purpose of the study - clinically and experimentally to substantiate the etiological criteria and the pathogenetic role of endocrine, flogogenic and hemostasisologic factors for the associated development of obstetric, gynecological and orthopedic pathology and on that basis to develop their complex treatment and renewal of reproductive function in cows. Methods of research - clinical, ultrasound, morphological, biochemical, genetic, immunological, immunoassay, bacteriological, histological, biostatistic. Scientific novelty. There were established the prevalence and nature of reproductive function disorders and favorable factors for the associated development of orthopedic, obstetric and gynecological pathology in highly productive cows. The comorbidity of postnatal metritis and purulent-necrotic lesions of limbs were substantiated. There were determined the role of the steroidogenesis disorders, the changes in the function of the thyroid gland and the level of cortisol in cows with orthopedic diseases in the genesis of obstetric and gynecological pathology. The criteria for cytokine status, the dynamics of NO and acute phase proteins in orthopedically sick cows during pregnancy, postpartum period and obstetric diseases were determined. The criteria for levels of fibrinogen, haptoglobin, ceruloplasmin, cytokines, and NO were substantiated. The complex treatment of cows with postpartum metritis and purulent-necrotic lesions of the limbs was developed. Implementation: there were obtained two useful model patents of Ukraine, the materials of the dissertation were included into 4 manuals and 7 methodological recommendations, they are used in scientific research and educational work at the faculties of higher educational institutions of the III-IV accreditation level. Sphere (industry) of use: veterinary medicine
