Essay

The dissertation presents the results of theoretical and experimental research of the educational system of the higher technical educational institution. The updated content and priorities of the educational system have been grounded. Scientific and paradigmatic approaches to the educational system functioning at the updating stage and levels of university students' educatedness (high, medium and low) have been characterized. Structural and semantic analysis of the basic concepts of research has been carried out. The concept of the educational system of the higher technical educational institution and the program of students' education as its practical embodiment have been developed. A complex of interdependent and interrelated criteria of efficiency of the educational system functioning at the stage of updating has been specificated. The criteria ensure a high level of university students' educatedness: a motivational and a value criteria, a person-oriented criterion and the one of personality's activity. Diagnostic tools, scientific and methodological support as well as technological support for the implementation of the structural-functional model of the educational system in the practice of higher technical educational institutions have been developed. Organizational and pedagogical conditions as a complex of factors, which ensure the effective organization of work on the educational system updating have been theoretically determined, substantiated and experimentally verified. A model of the technical university graduate has been given. The structural-functional model of the educational system has been developed. The analysis of experimental work on the implementation of the educational system at the stage of its updating in higher technical educational institutions has been carried out and its results have been presented.
