Object: management of a higher educational institution; objective: to substantiate theoretical and methodological principles of simulation of the university strategic development and to develop the technology of the mentioned process; methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, content analysis, simulation, comparison, descriptive statistics, questionnaires, observations, expert assessment, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: the concept of “simulation of the university strategic development” is substantiated, the system of parameters, criteria, indicators of the analysis of the simulation of the university strategic development is developed, the system of classification signs of the university development strategy is created, the model of strategic development and the technology of simulation of the university strategic development are theoretically substantiated, the fundamental nature of simulation tools of strategic development of the university is specified, understanding of the fundamental nature of the development strategy and strategic plan of the university is improved, general scientific ideas as to the fundamental nature of management development of higher educational institutions, theoretical and methodological principles of simulation of the university strategic development, the provisions as to the essential role of primary competencies of simulation subjects of strategic development of the university are further developed; results: the technology of simulation of the university strategic development is developed and implemented; branch: theory and methodology of education management.
