The object of the study - analgesic and therapeutic effects of epidural blockades in dogs and cattle and conductive blockade in dogs. The purpose of the study – clinical and experimental substantiation of differential epidural and conductive blockades with the therapeutic effect for diseases in the caudal part of the body of animals, including the abdominal region in dogs and pelvic limbs in cattle. Methods of research – clinical, electrodiagnostic, thermographic, hematological, biochemical, immunoassay, x-ray, bacteriological, statistical. Scientific novelty. The effectiveness of differential blockades, which provide analgesia and vegetative blockade without loss of motor function of the limbs, is theoretically substantiated, clinically and experimentally proved. The algorithm for the position of the needle in the epidural space in cattle has been improved and a method for the use of a test dose in dogs has been developed. It has been determined that the use of epidural administration of 0,2 % bupivacaine solution contributes to more beneficial postoperative period in dogs and cattle, which is manifested by less changes in blood parameters and less pronounced level of inflammatory response by the values of cytokine profile in the experimental animals. Implementation: there were obtained three useful model patents of Ukraine, the materials of the dissertation were included into 2 manuals and 3 methodological recommendations, they are used in scientific research and educational work at the faculties of higher educational institutions. Sphere (industry) of use: veterinary medicine
