Object: process of development of gender education in high school of post-Soviet countries; methods: general scientific (analysis, synthesis, classification, generalization, systematization); Specific-scientific: terminological analysis, historical and retrospective, problem-comparative, chronological and diachronic, content analysis, monographic; empirical: comparison, compilation and processing of results; novelty: a holistic scientific analysis of the development of gender education in the post-soviet high school was carried out; the theoretical principles of gender mainstreaming into the modern educational process of the higher school were substantiated: the genesis of gender differentiation in the world pedagogical thought and in the practice of education was explored; the connection of the educational system with the phenomena of gender inequality due to the effect of the hidden curriculum in the modern high school of post-Soviet countries was revealed; barriers to the formation of a new gender paradigm of knowledge in education and research in science in the post-Soviet countries were identified; the provisions on the development of gender education in the high school and its normative-legal support, the organization of centers for gender studies, the functioning of the network professional community, the issue of a periodical professional edition on gender issues as factors of the development of gender education were improved; have further developed scientific ideas about the notion of gender education, gender studies, gender mainstreaming, gender equality, gender asymmetry, hidden curriculum, gender paradigm; introduction of new facts, ideas, approaches to the organization of gender education and gender studies in higher education in the scientific circle; branch: general pedagogy and history of pedagogy.
