In the thesis with the help of theoretical and experimental ways the scientific problem of the treatment of diabetes type-2, associated with the tolerance of medications. The obtained results substantiate pathogenetically the appropriateness of the medical practice of new antidiabetic medications – pills «Hlifasonorm» and capsules «Hlifasolin» based on the thick bean extract. It has been established that the thick bean extract at a dose of 40 mg/kg has a pronounced hypoglycemic effect on models of autoimmune diabetes better than the medication of comparison metformin; on the model for dytyzined diabetes it increases the level of glucose and ketone parts in urine, it dominates the action of metformin and tends to be close to the glibenclamide action; on the model of streptozotocin-induced diabetes in obese background there can be found some pronounced anti-hyperglycemic properties that are similar to the action of metformin. Showing a hypoglycemic effect due to flavonoid composition, the thick bean extract reduces the risk of micro and macroanhiopatiy increase by decreasing HbA1c, it normalizes carbohydrate metabolism in the liver and rheologic blood properties, it reduces the weight of fractions of fatty tissues and shows hypolipidemic, antiatherogenic, antihypertensive and antioxidant effects. It has been confirmed that pills «Hlifasonorm» and capsules «Hlifasolin», which have been developed based on the thick bean extract, show in the terms of pathology model some hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering, antihypertensive and antiatherogenic effects. This enables us to recommend the pills «Hlifasonorm» and capsules «Hlifasolin» for the integrated treatment of diabetes both mild and moderate ones, and also with a tendency to obesity.
