The object: artillery arsenal of the Kyiv fortress as a historical phenomenon, as a systemic integrity and as an integral part of the European firearms arsenal. Goal: comprehensive study of the artillery arsenal of the Kyiv fortress of the second half of the XVII century, analysis of the conditionality of its formation by military-political events, technological and cultural norms, international relations, powerful formal and informal mechanisms, as well as coverage of the reciprocal influence of Kyiv artillery on the events of Ukrainian history. Methods: system-historical, historical-comparative (comparative), chronological (metrological), typological, retrospective, analogies, mathematical, chemical, technological. Results: for the first time systematically and in-depth one of the largest in Ukrainian history - the artillery arsenal of the Kyiv fortress was reconstructed, the influences of the Kyiv arsenal on the events of Ukrainian history of the XVII - the beginning of the XVIII century were determined, the organizational, raw and technological possibilities of casting guns in Kyiv in the second half of the seventeenth century were analyzed, the cultural, power and military-political mechanisms, which caused the appearance in the Kyiv arsenal of an artillery complex (Dutch, German, Polish, Baltic, Russian) were systematically studied, such specific arsenal phenomenon as a "grenade laboratory" was considered, new conceptual and factual historical and technical knowledges into scientific and cultural circulation were introduced; knowledge of the place of the Kiev arsenal in the offensive strategy of the Moscow state, theoretical principles according to which the Kyiv artillery complex is considered as an integral and self-sufficient military-technological phenomenon of Ukrainian history, but in its interrelations with neighboring military-cultural and artillery production areas were improved. Scope of application: both in special scientific researches of the humanities sciences and in the writing of general works on the history of artillery, technology and national military history, for deepening the development of such areas of the humanities as history of Ukraine, military history, source study, museum science, cultural studies, weapons science, history of technology.
