Masliychuk V. Cultural and educational initiatives in Left Bank and Sloboda Ukraine second half XVIII – early XIX century

The object of research: education system as elements of educational institutions in the eastern lands of the second half of the XVIII century – the first third of the XIX century. The aim of research: to study the influence of the process of changes in the socio-political and cultural fields of the formation of the educational system in Ukrainian territories in the second half of the XVIIIcentury -the beginning of XIX century. The subject of research: the process of secular changes in the educational environment and its impact on the society of that time. The results of research: the reasons for the failures of a number of educational projects based on various approaches and criteria are clarified. The mechanisms of organizing the secular educational institutions, the role of the state and various social strata in this processare reconstructed. The issue of the role of education and knowledge in the society of that time, the importance of educationis actualized. The features of the regional sections as the reasons for the success or failure of educational events are clarified. The sphere of usage: the collected materials, made conclusions and recommendations can be used in further studying of the problems of Ukrainian education and culture, when writing educational and scientific works on the history of Ukrainian culture, the history of Ukraine, developing and giving lectures and special courses. The results of the study can be useful to local governments, public organizations, cultural institutions, government bodies in determining directions and priorities in the educational and cultural fields.
