Essay

The dissertation explores the essence of education and power as two ways of constituting human subjectivity in the context of challenges of the information-based world. In modern society, knowledge and science are becoming the leading productive force of intensive means of production, which actualizes the problem of education as a determining factor in the intellectual and creative development of the individual and community. At the same time, the dynamics of transformations of the place, meaning and role of knowledge in the modern information-based and digital reality actualize the issues of changes in the education system, which is the most important factor in the development of our civilization. In the dissertation work the correlation of knowledge and power in the situation of informatization of all spheres of social reality is revealed. The analysis showed that the way of thinking formed in the context of new educational norms and principles in the industrial age has a material and economic context and is a measure of determining the «usefulness» of the individual, for the formation of which «useful» knowledge is formed.
