In the dissertation the complex research of formation of spiritual and moral values of students of humanitarian specialties by means of fiction is carried out. From the theoretical and methodological standpoint, the leading approaches to the spiritual and moral education of student youth are substantiated, the essence and content of spiritual and moral values are revealed. The age characteristics of humanitarian students, features of their behavior in the context of cultural, social, psychological and pedagogical patterns of development and formation of personality are studied.
The essence of spiritual and moral values is determined; the conceptual provisions of the organization and implementation of the process of formation of spiritual and moral values of students of humanities are substantiated. The components of the process of formation of spiritual and moral values are characterized and the model of formation of spiritual and moral values of students of humanities is developed. Criteria and indicators of levels of formation of spiritual and moral values are determined; principles and psychological and pedagogical conditions of the process of formation of students of humanities specialties of spiritual and moral values by means of fiction are determined.
Theoretical analysis of the problem proved that the spiritual and moral formation of future specialists should outline axiological, hermeneutical, differentiated, dialogic, competence, cultural, personal approaches. The main direction of the educational process should be the attraction of the students to the assimilation of universal spiritual values developed by humanity, the creation of social, pedagogical, psychological conditions for the realization of their own potential in the education of spiritual consciousness, the manifestation of moral feelings, the implementation of spiritual and moral actions.
During the analysis of scientific papers, we found that today the order for effective educational technologies and methods of spiritual and moral education of future specialists is formed. Among a number of factors that determine the need to develop this problem is an increase in the role of fiction both in the system of cultures of modern society, and in the moral face of each individual; the growth of society's requirements for the future specialist, his moral development and moral competence; the powerful influence of modern trends aimed at destroying moral values or replacing them with others.
The author determines psychologically-pedagogical conditions for forming spiritual and moral values: 1) creation of axiologically directed educational space and involvement of students in activity on mastering of spiritual and moral values in it; 2) reliance on the value potential of fiction as a means of educating spiritual and moral values; 3) promoting comfortable communication, interaction, cooperation and co-creation in the educational process; 4) organization of the process of education on the basis of the developed course «Fiction as a factor in the formation of spiritual and moral personality of the student», which provides for the creation of situations for constant dialogue as a form of interaction between participants; 5) systematic introduction into the educational process of the idea of humanism, achievements of national and world fiction, on the basis of which the worldview of the student's personality is formed.
Methodical materials in the form of the program of a special course on education of spiritual and moral values of students of humanitarian specialties are developed.
