The dissertation is devoted to the development of conceptual, theoretical-methodological, methodical and practical bases for construction of the mechanism, intended for health protection of the employed population of Ukraine at macro-, micro- and personal levels in the system of human development provision. The conceptual and terminological framework for studying the problem of health protection of the employed population is formed. Factors influencing the health of the employed population of Ukraine are identified and systematized. The principles of the decent work concept and its role in maintaining the health of the employed population are considered. Theoretical and methodological model for maintaining the health of the employed population has been developed. The systematization of foreign experience in the field of protection the health of the employed population has been carried out. The block diagram of the multilevel system of preventive measures aimed at health protection of the employed population of Ukraine is constructed. The characteristics of health shocks are analyzed and the model of their impact on the labor market supply is proposed. Potential losses for the economy of Ukraine from premature mortality in the age range of 15−64 years are calculated. A model of the impact of the transformation processes of the modern labor market on the health of the employed population is proposed. Approaches to assessing the health of the employed population of Ukraine in terms of components of human development are substantiated and mathematical regression-linear multifactor model is built. Differences in the self-assessment of health of the employed population by socio-economic, demographic and behavioral factors were identified. A mechanism for the health protection of the employed population of Ukraine in the system of human development has been developed. Modeling of health protection of the employed population of Ukraine is carried out. Strategies for maintaining the health of the employed population have been developed. The reserves of employment growth due to the change of behavior aimed at the health protection of the employed population of Ukraine were assessed.
