The dissertation scientifically substantiates and highlights the theoretical and methodological principles of forming pupils’ artistic orientations, which allowed to reveal the features of their spiritual growth by activating the internal resources of the individual in terms of value cognition of arts, building their system of artistic views, beliefs, guidelines, ideals. activities.
The essence of artistic orientations of a senior pupil as a system of personal attitudes to art and phenomena of art culture is revealed. The forms of expression of artistic orientations are beliefs, guidelines, preferences, ideals and tastes of the individual in terms of figurative content, formative characteristics of art, its stylistic and genre features. Artistic orientations determine the direction of artistic cognition, evaluation of art and self-expression in artistic creativity.
The structure of artistic orientations of senior pupils is developed, which covers the unity of motivative, cognitive and informational, emotional and evaluative, creative and activity component blocks. The functions of artistic orientations are determined: axiological, creative and motivative, self-organizing; cognitive, heuristic, artistic and conceptual, worldview; hedonistic, self-identifying, evaluative, compensatory, suggestive, aesthetic, cathartic; communicative, socializing, cultural, educational, which are implemented by the structural and component blocks. Based on the essential characteristics of the studied phenomenon, the criteria for the formation of artistic orientations of senior pupils (motivative and emotional; informative and cognitive; valuable and reflexive; creative and presentative) were developed, which revealed the levels of expression of the studied phenomenon: subjective and intuitive (low), stereotype and
productive (medium), functional and creative (high).
The dissertation presents an innovative system of forming senior pupils’ artistic orientations in the process of musical and theatrical activities, the theoretical basis of which is the axiological and reflexive approach, which provides stimulation and support of pupils’ deep subjective comprehension of artistic culture values, identification of personal attitude self- development. The integrity of the proposed system is determined by the interdependence of its components: target (goal, task), theoretical and methodological (conceptual approaches, principles), content (curricula, courses, training), functional and procedural (functions, pedagogical conditions, forms and methods, stages of implementation), performance and evaluative (criteria, diagnostic techniques, levels).
The results of experimental verification of the effectiveness of the proposed system of formation of senior pupils’ artistic orientations in the process of musical and theatrical activities are highlighted, which prove the effectiveness and feasibility of its use in the pedagogical process of out-of-school art education.
