Essay

Object – cultural and educational activities of domestic scientists of 19th – early 20th centuries; the purpose of the research is to substantiate the periodization of pedagogical and social-educational activities of medical scientists and naturalists of Slobozhanshchyna during 19th – early 20th centuries and generalization of the experience of implementation of these activities to outline the prognostic trends of their development in modern times; methods – general scientific (analysis, synthesis, comparison, classification, systematization, generalization of legal documents, archival sources, special literature, periodicals), historical and pedagogical (chronological, logical-historical, historical-typological, retrospective), personalized, prognostic; novelty – historiography (pre-revolutionary, soviet, modern Ukrainian and foreign), source base, theoretical and methodological principles of studying the researched problem through the prism of historiographical, historical-pedagogical, anthropological, axiological, personal-activity, synergetic, regional, hermeneutic, hermeneutic-structural, gender, chronological, personalized, prognostic approaches; the author's interpretation of the basic category of research «pedagogical and public-educational activity of scientists of Slobozhanshchina – founders of domestic higher medical and pharmaceutical education (19th – early 20th centuries)» is offered; the stages of pedagogical and public-educational activity of scientists of Slobozhanshchyna (founders of domestic higher medical and pharmaceutical education) during 19th – early 20th centuries are justified: Stage I (1804–1834) was the formation of pedagogical and social-educational activity of medical scientists and naturalists of Slobozhanshchyna in the educational space of Kharkiv University and the beginning of non-systemic manifestations of their public-educational activity outside the university; Stage II (1835–1862) – expansion of directions, forms, content of pedagogical and public-educational activity of medical scientists and naturalists of Slobozhanshchyna as a result of revision of approaches to the process of training of medical and pharmaceutical officials and legislative regulation of public-educational initiatives; Stage III (1863–1883) – deepening the content of pedagogical activity of medical scientists and naturalists of Slobozhanshchyna in certain areas and reviving the manifestations of their socially useful activity in the context of the growth of the social and educational movement; Stage IV (1884–1917) – increasing the requirements for pedagogical and intensification of social and educational activities of medical scientists and naturalists of Slobozhanshchyna against the background of implemented and projected reforms of university education and diversification of forms of social and educational movement; the experience of pedagogical (organizational, educational, teaching-methodical, research-research directions) and public-educational (in the educational space of the university and beyond) activity of medical scientists and naturalists of Slobozhanshchyna of the studied period is characterized and the prognostic tendencies of its development in the context of development are outlined and pharmaceutical education (at the macro level, meso level, macro level); results – provisions, conclusions, recommendations, factual historical and pedagogical material can be used in the process of compiling reference and biographical and encyclopedic publications, developing educational programs for higher education in the field of knowledge 22 «Healthcare», training of research and teaching staff, NGOs and museum workers.
