Cherenko L. Model of living standard in conditions of socio-economic instability

Object – the population of Ukraine; goal – to build a model of living standards, which aims to find determinants and mechanisms of direct action in conditions of socio-economic instability; methods – dialectics, logic and historical periodization; comparisons and generalizations; analogies and scientific abstraction; formalization and analytical graphics; microimulation modeling; expert assessments; novelty – developed a model of living standards, which determines the objective parameters based on subjective perceptions of society, identifies specific factors of living standards and promotes the choice of the best levers of policy in conditions of instability, simulated the impact of changes in social policy on living standards and poverty; developed a forecast of living standards and poverty taking into account the impact of the coronavirus crisis, determined the retrospective impact of economic development trends on living standards depending on the trajectory and intensity, justified the objective need to introduce a new model of social support and complete reform of social programs based on analysis of their economic and social efficiency, the specifics of the formation of living standards in conditions of socio-economic instability are determined, new forms of poverty are identified and the main tendencies of the middle class are established; theoretical and practical results – conceptual bases of research of a standard of living for construction of the model defining components, factors and mechanisms of influence in the conditions of social and economic instability are developed, features of influence of economic tendencies of the period of independence of Ukraine on a standard of living are found out. emphasis on inequality, poverty and the middle class, based on the micro-simulation approach, modeling of policy options was carried out and a forecast of living standards was built; the results of the study are implemented in economic practice.
