The thesis is dedicated to elaboration of an integral concept of literary discourse on the basis of the theory of speech activity and its cultural dimension which includes definition of systematic and functional features of literary discourse and research of main regularities of it development in the history of French language and culture of the ІХth - ХVІІІth centuries. The essence and principles of poetic functional action in coordination with other language functions, its formation and development in the history of French literature are determined by introduction of a new concept of valoresation into the theory of discourse.
