Essay

The thesis presents the theoretical generalization and solving the important scientific problem of determining individual psychological factors of anxiety as a professional crises indicator in the personal professional development process. We determined theoretical and methodological principles of studying the psychological factors of personal anxiety in connection with the process of professional development and the specifics of overcoming crises in professional development based on the analysis of Ukrainian and Western scientific approaches in psychology. The initial position and logic of the study is based on the methodology of integrative-personal approach to understanding the phenomenon of anxiety as a polydeterministic formation, which is manifested at all levels of individual psychological functioning. We analyzed the main conceptual definitions of "personal anxiety". Depending on the focus of the study, scientists interpret it as personal disposition caused by a stress factor, the consequence of social needs frustration, the result of violation of the personal self-regulation mechanism, stable motive and stable form of this mechanism’s implementation, the function of potentially dangerous situation and individual interpretation of it. We have witnessed the lack of scientific unity in defining the concept of anxiety and approaches to its operationalization based on the generalization results of existing modern psychological science concepts, theories and models of personal anxiety in terms of its biological, psychological and social nature, content, essence and phenomenology. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the work is that: – for the first time: the conceptual model of anxiety, represented by the integrative interrelation of its cognitive-dispositional, emotional-value and regulatory-motivational factors, is theoretically and empirically substantiated; – specified: the psychological content of the anxiety as an indicator of professional development crisis of the individual in the process of psychologists’ professional development. – advanced: scientific understanding of the specifics of the anxiety determination at the different stages of professional development of psychologists, who are getting qualifications (crisis of professional choice stage of professional education); improve their skills (stage of primary professionalization - crisis of professional growth) and retrain, getting a new specialty (stage of secondary professionalization - crisis of professional career). – expanded: the variety of psychological and methodological tools for harmonizing the professional development process of future psychologists and psychologists-specialists in order to prevent professional development crises of the individual. The practical significance of the study is determined by the fact that the program of psychological support of the psychologists’ professional development process, developed and tested to prevent maladaptation and crisis, can be used by practicing psychologists as a methodological support for counseling and correctional work. The offered set of measures can be used in the system of continuing psychological education as a part of mentoring for psychology students during the introductory practice, internship training and trainings for professionals with a high level of anxiety. Some research results can be used in the work of training centers and the educational process of training psychologists as part of the methodological support in disciplines: "Psychology of Crisis", "Occupational Psychology", "Psychology of management", "Psychologist's Self-Management" and "Fundamentals of Psychological Practice". Key words: personality, anxiety, individual psychological factors, professional development process, professional development crises, professional choice crisis, professional growth crisis, professional career crisis, future psychologists, psychologists-specialists, beginner psychologists, mentoring, lifelong education.
