Subchak O. Organizational and legal principles of improving the electoral processes in Ukraine (based on the experience of the countries of the European Union)

The dissertation study is devoted to the specifics of the functioning of public administration and management in relation to the organizational and legal framework for the improvement of electoral processes in Ukraine on the basis of the best practices of the European Union. Improvement of electoral processes in Ukraine requires scientific justification of the ways of effective development and functioning of public administration mechanisms in order to minimize the destructive impact of disinformation and voter manipulation during election campaigns, introduction of the latest technologies into electoral processes, increase of security and stability, timely detection of threats and effective ways of their neutralization, adaptation of the electoral sphere to the changes caused by the war, raising the level of legal culture of participants in electoral processes and effective ways of responding to modern challenges, research of the experience of European Union countries for further implementation of the best election practices in Ukrainian legislation. Electoral processes are crucial determinants of the legitimacy and accountability of public authorities. The organizational and legal framework of electoral processes determines the democratic, reliable, transparent and open nature of their conduct. Thus, the improvement of the organizational and legal framework of electoral processes in the context of Ukraine’s European integration vector is the subject of the study. The aim of the study is a substantiated study of the experience of the countries of the European Union in the field of regulatory, organizational and institutional support of electoral processes in order to outline the prospects for the implementation of such experience in Ukraine.
