In the dissertation, a theoretical analysis of the state of research of the problem of the development of emotional stability of future teachers is carried out. The emotional stability of students of higher education as readiness for a constructive solution of emotional situations in professional activity is represented in the study by the unity of four components: motivational, regulatory-volitional, emotional, intellectual.
The purpose of the study: based on a theoretical analysis of the problem of emotional stability of future teachers, to develop and experimentally test a program for the development of emotional stability of future teachers and to develop methodological recommendations for future teachers on the development of their emotional stability.
Object of research: emotional stability of the individual.
The following research methods were used to solve the tasks:
- theoretical (analysis of philosophical, psychological-pedagogical, methodological literature; comparison, analysis and synthesis of essential characteristics of concepts; abstraction, modeling, etc.);
- empirical (questionnaires, observations, surveys, interviews, testing, psychological and pedagogical experiments (declarative and formative), method of expert evaluations);
- methods of qualitative and quantitative processing of experimental research data (statistical methods, Student's coefficient).
The scientific novelty of the research results is as follows:
- for the first time: the content of the concept of the development of emotional stability of the future teacher is defined; the specificity of the teacher's emotional stability was revealed; the determinants of the emotional stability of the future teacher are identified and substantiated; a model and program for the development of emotional stability of the future teacher was developed and tested;
- clarified: the content of the key concepts of the study ("emotional stability", "self-regulation", "adaptation", "psychological structure of emotional stability of the individual");
- gained further development of ideas about the psychological conditions for the development of emotional stability of future teachers.
A model for the development of the emotional stability of the future teacher was developed, and a program for the development of the emotional stability of students of higher education was developed, substantiated and tested, as a result of which, positive changes in the indicators of the level of formation in all blocks were found in the students of higher education.
Methodological recommendations for future teachers regarding the development of their emotional stability are offered.
During pedagogical activity, emotional stability prevents the occurrence of stress, prevents negative emotional effects, and helps the emergence of readiness for action in extreme situations. Emotional stability is one of the psychological factors of reliability, efficiency and success of activities in stressful situations of a teacher's professional activity.
