Mazai L. Psychological Features of Resource Provision for Future Psychologists’ Professional Development

The dissertation paper includes a thorough theoretical analysis of the issues related to the resource provision for future psychologists' professional development. Also, it presents the results of an empirical study of its psychological characteristics. Participants in the exploratory experiment were students from the 2nd to 4th years of bachelor's programs and the 1st year of master's programs in full-time education from two higher educational institutions (HEI) in Vinnytsia. Additionally, it was developed and implemented a training program to activate professional internal resources, the effectiveness of which is discussed in the dissertation's third chapter. The object of the research is future psychologists' professional development. The aim was to theoretically justify and empirically investigate the psychological characteristics of the resource provision for future psychologists' professional development. The research utilized several theoretical and empirical methods, active psychological learning and development methods, psycho-correction techniques, and mathematical-statistical data processing. The empirical research tools included 7 psychodiagnostic techniques and two author-designed questionnaires. Mathematical and statistical calculations were made using IBM SPSS Statistics version 23, Microsoft Excel 2013, and JaMovi 2.2.5 software programs. The scientific novelty of the obtained research results lies in the following aspects: for the first time the definition of the concepts of professional resourcing and professional internal resources is introduced; the concept of self-assessment of the level of professional development and its components are identified; the components of professional resourcing are theoretically and empirically determined. Additionally, the content and essence of the concept of resource provision in the context of future psychologists' professional development are clarified, the role of emotional intelligence in future psychologists' professional resourcing is highlighted, the characteristics of external and internal factors of resource provision for the professionalization of future psychologists are outlined, and criteria for assessing their effectiveness and quality are established. The practical significance lies in the assembled psychodiagnostic toolkit, the development of two author-designed questionnaires, and the training program for activating professional internal resources, equipped with modern advanced psycho-correctional technologies. Specifically, this program is fully presented in a corresponding educational and methodological guide. The results of the dissertation research have been effectively implemented into the educational process of four Ukrainian HEIs. The field of application for the theoretical and practical results of the research is the higher education system for specialists in the field of Psychology (speciality 053). Key results of the work are reflected in 16 publications on the dissertation topic, including 7 in specialized publications listed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2 in periodical scientific publications of foreign countries, 6 in proceedings of international scientific-practical conferences, and 1 educational-methodical manual.
