Amid the changes driven by European integration, Ukraine is actively reforming its medical education system, particularly in the training of bachelor-level nursing professionals in the field of rehabilitation. This process aims to adapt the national system to European standards, which is especially crucial in the current context of increased demand for qualified rehabilitation specialists, particularly in light of the ongoing military conflict. Improving the quality of rehabilitation education can significantly enhance the effectiveness of medical services and help elevate the prestige of the profession, attracting talented specialists to this field. The issue of reforming nursing education in Ukraine is multi-faceted, as it involves matters such as updating the legal framework, implementing modern technologies and teaching methods, and improving the level of graduate training. The scientific novelty lies in the proposed author's definitions of the terms "rehabilitation nursing" and "rehabilitation education" and the first-ever periodization of the development of rehabilitation education in Ukraine from 1991 to 2023. The experience of European countries in the training of nurses has been studied, forming the basis for a critical evaluation of the national system of bachelor-level nursing education in rehabilitation. Based on an analysis of historical and international experience, a program for the development of rehabilitation education for bachelor-level nursing professionals has been developed, grounded in a competency-based approach. The practical significance of this research lies in the improvement of educational programs in the field of nursing, particularly in the development of courses in rehabilitation nursing, as well as in the preparation of scientific and methodological materials that can be used in the training of bachelor-level nursing professionals. Moreover, the obtained results may be valuable for institutions of postgraduate education and centers for the professional development of medical personnel, which focus on the qualification enhancement of rehabilitation specialists.
