Kozynets A. “Management of Personnel Motivation in Higher Education Establishment.” – Qualification thesis submitted in manuscript form. Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 073 “Management” – Private Higher Educational Establishment “European University,” Kyiv, 2025. The dissertation is dedicated to substantiating the theoretical and methodological foundations and developing practical recommendations for improving the processes of personnel motivation management in higher education establishment. Based on the study of the evolution of motivation theories, a chronology of the development of concepts and methods of employee motivation has been developed, grounded in the division of historical development into pre-industrial, industrial, and post-industrial periods. It is argued that all these approaches are valid depending on the goals of scientific analysis. A conceptual scheme of the personnel motivation management process has been developed, where the author presents scientific terms that comprehensively describe the currently recognized scientific paradigm of the motivational process. The terminology of personnel motivation management has been specified in relation to higher education establishment. The framework of the motivational environment in higher education establishment has been developed through the systematization of classical and innovative scientific approaches to building the personnel motivation management process, adapted to the specifics of higher education establishment. The components of the professional environment for staff in higher education establishment, along with the content and functional responsibilities of their work, have been identified. A systemic characteristic of the processes of motivation management in higher education establishment is provided by constructing the structure of the personnel motivation system in higher education establishment (HEIs). A systematization of scientific research on the chronology of the formation of methodological approaches to the assessment and development of the personnel motivation system in higher education establishment (HEIs) has been conducted across scientific directions: A classification of methods for assessing the motivation of higher education institution (HEI) personnel has been proposed. A classification of methods for building an effective personnel motivation system in HEIs has been developed based on the identification of three management levels. Based on the developed classifications and the provided discussions and justifications, a framework of methodological approaches to assessing and constructing an HEI personnel motivation system has been proposed. A comparative analysis of higher education systems in European countries was conducted.A methodological approach to evaluating HEI personnel motivation factors has been developed. A methodology for modelling the processes of personnel motivation management in higher education establishment (HEIs) has been developed based on the factor structure of motivators in the form of a block diagram. To determine the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the personnel motivation system in HEIs, a methodology for determining the structural organization indices of the system was applied. The systematization of scientific approaches to constructing an effective personnel motivation management mechanism in HEIs has allowed the formation of a methodological basis for addressing this issue. A structural-functional model of the personnel motivation management mechanism in HEIs has been proposed, based on competency, andragogical, and acmeological approaches, consisting of organizational-methodological, formative, and result-oriented blocks.
