Osypets' R. The Cultivation of National Identity of a Future MusicTeacher by Means of Ukrainian Folk-song Culture.

The object of research: the process of bringing up students of pedagogical higher educational institution. The aim is to ground and to experimentally revise and introduce the system of consistent enrichment of the contents of education by the values of Ukrainian folk-song culture aimed at cultivating of national identity of students into the process of future music teacher training. The methods and techniques of the investigation are theoretical analysis of the investigated substructure, the analysis of present-day curricula, of systems of education, observation, discussion, questioning,testing, rating, pedagogical experiment, the method of analyzing the results.The results and novelty of the investigation: the concretization of the notion "national identity", of its essence and structure, the singling out of criteria and levels of the development of national identity of music students at pedagogical universities, the grounding of educational potential of folk-song culture and its connection with natio nal identity, the experimental grounding of the system of enrichment of the contents of education by the values of Ukrainian folk-song culture, the elaboration of methodological recommendations. The subject level and effectiveness of its introduction: the system of consistent enrichment of the contents of music education by the values of Ukrainian folk-song culture. The sphere of introduction: music departments of pedagogical universities and secondary schools.
